The Health Benefits of Walking, Rambling, or Hiking are many and it is a natural fun thing for all to enjoy.
When we are parents we get so excited about our children taking their first walking steps that we can't wait to tell everyone about it. What do we do then?
We cage them in a play-pen or put them on a leash so that they can't escape.
Does it get any better from then on? I don't think so.
We either take them to pre-school in a buggy or in the car. When they are a little bit older we put them on a school bus.
As soon as they are in their teens they learn to drive and as a consequence all of that excitement of the early years of taking those initial steps and discovering the Health Benefits of Walking has been lost.
Then after having taken away from our children the desire to travel anywhere on foot the desire to enjoy this most pleasant of exercises has been lost.
We have taught them to be just like us and shown them the way to lead a sedentary life. One day suddenly and i hope that it is not too late, we get a wake up call that our health is not as good as it should be

we can do and that will bring about greater density of our
bones. End result? Delayed Osteoporosis in old age

You can do it Anywhere, Anytime, Day or Night whatever the weather. In the mountains in Wales, Ireland, France, Spain, Greece, America - North -Central- South, New Zealand, Australia, Eastern Europe. In the deserts or in the jungle or on the high plains in the Andes ot in the gentle New Forest of Southern England.
It matters not where you walk just have fun and enjoy the experience. Most countries will have tourist offices to help, advise and guide you and the chances are someone will have been and done it before you so you can find a blog or a book with info to help you on your way when you want to set out on an adventure.
There are travel companies that will provide planned holidays in full or in part. Transport providers offer friendly advice in all countries to make the adventure run smoothly and if things don't go to plan the chances are things will turn out even better then you dreamed they would.

Me, I love walking. When I was a kid growing up we had a dog and even at the age of 7 my sister and I would in the summer go off
and spend the whole day in the countryside.
When I was a young man I bought a dog for company and naturally he had to be taken for a walk 2 or 3 times a day. I loved it. It got me away from the grind of work and into Gods wonderland.
It is a wonderful, purposeful way to spend some time out in the open air and escape from the pressures of life.
