It may not have been something women ever felt they wanted to do, but with uncomfortable squatting, unhygienic toilets, or embarrassing bare bottoms a thing of the past, This neat and 'handy gadget' has shown thousands of women all over the world what they’ve been missing!

Now in three colours- just for fun or so you know which is yours and which is your mum’s! 29-year-old entrepreneur and inventor Samantha Fountain developed her idea initially as part of her degree at university, the idea having come to her while backpacking around Europe. ‘It struck me how much easier it was for a guy to go to the toilet in a place where there were no facilities or nowhere to squat behind’, explains Sam, ‘so I came up with a way of effectively urinating like a man. Men could just stroll up and be on their way in a few seconds, while women had to take off backpacks and clothing and then attempt to find somewhere to squat, all the time worrying about touching things for fear of germs or ticks, keeping their dignity and keeping warm. This does away with all of this fuss - Sam, as her product’s strap line states, is passionate about helping women ‘stand up and take control’. She patented her design in 1999 and entered the annual New Designers awards, where she won the James Dyson Product Design Award. More recently Sam has won the Silver Award at the British Female Inventor and Innovator Awards
